I recently moved one of my sites over to wordpress which changed all of my old html urls. It was a big ole' mess, but it had to be done. Anyway, I needed to check for url errors and stumbled across Google's web crawl tool in my Google account dashboard. Jackpot! With this tool you can check the linking structure of any of your sites and make sure that everyone who is trying to find you and your content - finds it instead of a yucky 404 error page. I know. I know. I'm always saying how we need to pare down our use of social media sites, so that we don't get bogged down by them. But I must admit that I always like a site where we can write something and then it autoposts that message to several other of my social sites. That's a good use of my time. That's what my new posterous account does. And better yet - all you have to do is email the post. No logging in, writing, saving, publishing, yada yada. This may be one to add to your must have sites. What do you think?
